The Suburban Review

The Suburban Review is a small press publication of short fiction, creative non-fiction, poetry and art. I wanted it to concentrate creativity.

The Paris Review inspired the title. I wanted to celebrate creatives in the same way, except my offices were not in Paris. They were in the suburbs. In fact, most the writers I know come from the dreaded Suburbia. Also, I enjoyed the irony.

Since then we’ve produced seven print issues, four of which were able to pay money to contributors. We also run a website that features short pieces of work, and soon we’ll be organising spoken word nights.
